Every used vehicle we sell comes with the RCU Auto Services Peace of Mind Promise warranty that’s valid for 90 days or 4,000 miles*, whichever comes first. This warranty covers the vehicle from bumper to bumper. More questions?

Vehicle delivery, pick up, and exchange

Yes! We specialize in making your life easier and are happy to deliver your dream car to either your home or office. We can deliver free of charge to Sonoma, Mendocino, Napa, Marin, San Francisco, Lake, Contra Costa, and Solano counties. Delivery outside these areas is possible, but a delivery charge may apply. To exchange your vehicle, you must let us know prior to the 8th calendar day after receiving your vehicle. We can’t accept the vehicle if it has been modified, in an accident or damaged, altered from the condition it was delivered in, or had a lien or other encumbrance put on it (other than the retail installment contract of Redwood Credit Union). Additionally, if you drive the vehicle over 300 miles, every additional mile will be charged a fee of $1.00 per mile. If you choose to exchange, you can receive up to three vehicles; however, the third vehicle will not come with our 8-Day Money Back Guarantee. Trade-ins & selling us your vehicle

Our written offer to purchase your vehicle is good for 10 days or 300 miles, whichever comes first. We reserve the right to re-evaluate the offer if the condition of the vehicle changes due to accident damage or mechanical malfunctions. Need more information? Contact us.

Certainly, yes! We welcome trade-ins and it’s not uncommon for people to trade in two (and sometimes three) vehicles. Need more information? Contact us.

You’ll need your ID, and the title to the vehicle. (It’s not a problem if your financial institution has the title.) If your vehicle is financed, we’ll need the financial institution’s contact information so we can verify the payoff. And we’ll want both sets of keys. Need more information? Contact us.

It happens sometimes when the pay-off balance of your loan or lease is larger than the appraised value of your vehicle. It usually occurs when you have a loan with a longer term and you’re selling or trading the vehicle in the first few years of ownership. For example, if the loan balance on your current vehicle is $10,000 and the appraised value is $9,000, the negative equity would be the difference, or $1,000. If you’re a current Member of Redwood Credit Union, we can credit your account or have a check made out to you that same day. If your vehicle has an existing loan with Redwood Credit Union, in most cases, we can also process the purchase of your vehicle on the same day. If your vehicle has an existing loan or lease balance with another financial institution, please allow us one additional business day to process the transaction. Concierge Service

We have an extensive network of dealer partners throughout California and the West Coast. But sometimes, a particular vehicle can be difficult to locate due to production interruptions, prevalent color combinations, and option packages. Since RCU Auto Services acts as broker when you elect to use our Concierge Service, California State Law requires that you sign the documents provided by our partner dealer as well as those of RCU Auto Services. Your final, out-the-door price is calculated inside of the purchase process and will include: the listed price of the vehicle, your local taxes and state taxes, title and registration fees, and any extras you choose to add, such as a Mechanical Breakdown Insurance, PermaPlate, and/or GAP coverage. Insurance

Yes! We offer very affordable protection. Many of our vehicles are eligible for Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI). MBI is different than a traditional “extended warranty” because the coverage tends to be more comprehensive. MBI also covers both basic and powertrain components, includes roadside assistance, has a low deductible, and coverage begins the day you receive your vehicle.
